For many would-be entrepreneurs, there is much more to launching a startup or new business besides profit margins. Millennials in particular are attracted to the idea of building companies with the greater good in mind, giving rise to what some people call “social entrepreneurship.”

Connecticut seems particularly attracting to businesses trying to make a positive impact on the world, and over at Wesleyan University in Middletown, the The Patricelli Center For Social Entrepreneurship is helping shape the next generation of changemakers.

Headed by our guest, Makaela Kingsley, herself a 1998 graduate of Wesleyan, David, Chris, and special guest host Ojala Naeem from REset discuss what is (or isn’t) a social entrepreneur, and what makes this kind of startup particularly attractive to some people.
