Episode 59: CVG CT Tech Tour – Day 1

Over the past year and a half, the CTStartup Podcast has grown tremendously as we continue to seek out and interview the founders and investors growing the Connecticut startup ecosystem.

Our efforts have not gone unnoticed, and we were invited by the Crossroads Venture Group to take part in the North American Tech Tour as it swung through our state. Put on by Paul Singh and his company Results Junkies, the North American Tech Tour crossed the U.S. on a tour of startups and ecosystems outside of traditional hubs like San Francisco and New York, shining the spotlight on places like Connecticut for a change.

So for four days in mid-October, we traveled to four cities across the state talking with entrepreneurs and venture capitalists investing time and money into Connecticut. Our first stop was Upward Hartford, Hartford’s newest co-working space and business incubator where we sat down with CT Innovations, Ironwood Capital, Wealth Conductor, Project Ray, and reSET. Our conversations are shorter than usual given the volume of people we had to interview, but the insights and commentary are just as great.
