Innovation Summit Series: I Need Home Care Now

There are only two certainties in life, death and taxes, and as the Baby Boomer generation continues to mature, millions of Americans find themselves asking “How do I take care of my parents?”

For many, the answer lies in private in-home healthcare, but finding “the right fit” has remained a challenge.  For Ira Yellen, founder of I Need Homecare Now, the catalyst for his startup was the lack of collected information about home healthcare services. Charged with taking care of his 90-year old mother, who lived 1,200 miles away, Ire spent two years researching the home healthcare industry before launching his company.

We spoke with Ira at the Innovation Summit last fall, and though the topic of old age and death can be intimidating for some, Ira’s mission to make it more accessible made I Need Homecare Now one of the most compelling interviews of the day.
